Atty. Joëlle de Rham-Rudloff obtained her law degree in 2003 (a degree equivalent to the current Bachelor and Master degrees in law) following her studies at the Universities of Lausanne (Switzerland) and Berlin (Germany).

Passionate about criminal law and new technologies, Atty. Joëlle de Rham-Rudloff subsequently enriched her career by following a postgraduate course in the field of computer crime and telecommunications law, leading to a postgraduate diploma (DEA) in 2004. Atty. Joëlle de Rham-Rudloff also published various articles relating to the problem of spamming in 2006 and 2007.

Atty. Joëlle de Rham-Rudloff then practiced at the Vaud Cantonal Lease Court as a clerk-lawyer while also working as a legal advisor for an association fighting child sex crimes on the Internet, before completing her legal internship in Geneva with the Poncet Turrettini law firm. She was then admitted to the Bar in 2008.

Atty. Joëlle de Rham-Rudloff then practiced as a criminal lawyer with Attorneys Lorella Bertani and Viviane Schenker, a law firm specializing in representing and defending the interests of victims of criminal offenses. She then joined the Fontanet law firm as an associated lawyer with Atty. Olivier Jornot until the latter was elected General Prosecutor of the Canton of Geneva in 2011, a position he still holds in 2025.

Atty. Joëlle de Rham-Rudloff then opened her own law firm in November 2011 to focus on representing, for more than 10 years, both victims and perpetrators of offences before criminal, civil and administrative courts, while ensuring the defense of litigants in cases involving contractual litigations, inheritance and family law disputes.

In August 2022, Atty. Joëlle de Rham-Rudloff obtained the title of “Specialist Lawyer in Criminal Law” by the Swiss Bar Association (FSA) in recognition of an 8-month advanced training course reserved only for experienced practitioners in criminal law.

In May 2022, Atty. Joëlle de Rham-Rudloff founded, alongside Attorneys Marc Bellon, the Bellon & de Rham law firm, then she joined as a partner on March 1, 2025, the Avocats

Associés law firm, with 125 years of experience in advice and legal proceedings in a wide range of legal fields.

Atty. Joëlle de Rham-Rudloff regularly collaborates with the cantonal counselling centers for victims of crime (LAVI Centers) and also takes part in various events organized by the Geneva Bar Association, such as “Lawyer in the City” (free legal advice offered to litigants) or “Lawyers in Schools” (sessions in the Geneva’s schools raising children’s awareness of their rights and obligations, as well as the prevention of cyberbullying).

She is also called upon by various Swiss organizations and establishments to give conferences, draft guidelines or participate as a lecturer.

Listening, efficiency, diligence, perseverance and combativeness characterize the way she represents the interests of her clients while always favoring pragmatic and amicable solutions.

She practices in French, German and English and has a good passive knowledge of Italian
